For residents struggling to pay utility bills, our funding allows us to contribute to those in need of financial assistance. We can assist only with the electric portion of a resident's bill. We rotate in helping someone every 24 months to ensure we assist everyone.
To qualify for utility assistance, residents must provide a Greene County ID, rental or lease agreement, proof of income, and their shut-off notice. We provide a voucher and pay a portion of their bill. Residents can also take their voucher to local churches to help with the rest of their bill.
