Assistance Programs

Mission Outreach is partnered with Life Strategies in order to help residents thrive in all areas of their lives. Our goal is to give impoverished and struggling individuals the resources they need to be healthy and successful. We have three main assistance programs that address utilities, mental health, and employment to help individuals and residents manage their lives.

Utility Assistance

For residents struggling to pay utility bills, our funding allows us to contribute to those in need of financial assistance. We can assist only with the electric portion of a resident's bill. We rotate in helping someone every 24 months to ensure we assist everyone. We only help with this, when CRDC is not doing assistance.

To qualify for utility assistance, residents must provide a Greene County ID, rental or lease agreement, proof of income, and their shut-off notice. We provide a voucher and pay a portion of their bill. Residents can also take their voucher to local churches to help with the rest of their bill.

Job Opportunities

We connect our residents with job resources and opportunities to gain financial independence. Part of what our case manager does is ensure residents acquire all necessary documents needed for job applications.

We help with filling out job applications as well as provide transportation services to job interviews, staffing agencies, Goodwill’s career center, etc. Our life skills  classes prove beneficial in helping you prepare and explore ways to pursue different career options.

Mental Health Services

Mission Outreach helps residents receive the mental health resources they need through therapy and case management.

We have an in-house case manager is dedicated to ensuring residents can obtain birth certificates, driver’s license, job applications, insurance, social security cards, and other necessary documents required for medical and federal programs.
