Text Box: Residents who demonstrate minimal leadership skills and a strong desire to address barriers to self-sufficiency are encouraged to serve as dorm managers, contact desk managers, or resident managers
Dorm Managers areas of  responsibility include:
assign and oversee chores (general cleaning) in dorm area
develop laundry schedule
provide new resident orientation to dorm area
make bed assignments
submit daily bed check statistics to contact desk manager
submit weekly supply requisitions
supervise dorm area 
Contact Desk Managers area of responsibilities include:
serve as first contact for residential needs outside dorm area
coordinate residential transportation needs
assign chores for meal preparation and clean-up
supervise general maintenance and janitorial cleanup of facility and grounds
answer phones after main office closes
submit requisitions for weekly supplies
general supervision 
 
Resident Managers are primarily individuals who have moved out, are self sustaining and desire to volunteer time in a supervisory capacity.  Areas of responsibility include:
building security
supplying kitchen with food and supplies needed to prepare meals
fill supply requests from other managers
provide residents with access to medications and first aid supplies as needed
provide peer encouragement/counsel
provide overall supervision in staff's absence and weekends
 
Janitorial Skills:  All residents of Mission Outreach are responsible for general maintenance and cleaning of building and grounds.  For many, this is their first experience in the "right way" to clean and maintain a home in an organized, regular fashion.  Instructions on the appropriate method a cleaning is posted for each chore 
Cooking for the Masses:  An additional responsibility of residents with cooking experience is preparing meals for all mission resident's and walk-ins.  Through this experience, residents learn:
food preparation for up to 100 people
to use and clean a restaurant style grill, stove and dishwasher
new recipes or methods of preparing foods, casseroles, desserts
