• Emergency Shelter Residents today: 44      5 children, 12 females, 27 males    

• Soup Kitchen Meals served to date:   25,839    Served since last week:  708

• Food Boxes distributed to date:  3,333

• Medical Clinic patients this month: 90     To date:  870  

• Prescriptions filled this month: 243      To date:  2250

• Individuals receiving financial assistance for utility, rent, transportation and prescription assistance: 619

 

 

I don’t know about you, but the chilly weather makes me crave another bowl of chili. They were all so Delicious!

Youth from Westview Baptist Church worked hard one recent Saturday giving a new face to both the outside and the inside of our building.  The women’s dorm living area is no longer daunted by dark paneling and poor lighting.  A new brightly colored coat of paint produced a ray of sunshine across the room.   The outside received a good power wash while the kitchen found extra help to prepare and serve both lunch and supper.  Thanks for giving so much to so many!

 

Thanks to several groups from past Paragould Leadership membership and several other individual contributors, our Learning Center is a busy place.  Mothers gather around the table to work on GED studies or other activities, while the children have their playtime nearby. All this activity makes for a good afternoon snooze.  Carpet covers, mats and quilts from friends allow children to nap while mom utilizes her afternoon time following-up on job leads.

Looking for an opportunity for hands-on ministry? Come join the Common Table by providing dinner, a listening ear and an open heart to those we serve. Have you scheduled a date to participate? Sunday School classes, small group ministries – this is a wonderful opportunity to share the love of Christ with others.
