On a personal note -
As a faithful supporter, you know I love the mission and the ministry of this place. You are also aware that the last few months have been busy, busy, busy!
Early in March, I made the decision to take a sabbatical from work to focus on other priorities in my life. Wednesday Reports will continue and someone in our office will be checking emails, so please continue to write with questions and comments!
Even though we may not be as visible to the public eye over the next couple of months, you can rest assured that much work is being done behind the scenes. Our board and staff are diligently preparing for the future of Mission Outreach while continuing to meet the needs of those who we serve on a daily basis.
Chili Rodeo (Saturday, October 3rd) and National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week (the week prior to Thanksgiving) are just around the corner…. There will be lots of opportunities for you to be involved, so I hope you plan to participate in both of these events.
Thank you again for your faithful support of Mission Outreach!

Celebrity Waiter with a Mission
Thank you again to all the waiters, sponsors, volunteers and guests who made Celebrity Waiter possible! Forgive me for leaving Randy Jumper off last week’s list. Randy graciously took on the responsibility of waiting a table at the last minute (appropriately attired in clown costume and orange rubber hair J) –
We are glad he joined in the fun!

Thanks to ALL who worked diligently to make this project a success – while a full mile of quarters wasn’t raised, just under ˝ mile was. You brought in over 29,800 quarters to support the work of the mission! There are still lots of containers out in our community, so please continue to return these to Mission Outreach or to the downtown branch of First National Bank. Thank you again for your support of Mission Mile of Quarters!
Opportunities to serve through the Common Table
Looking for an opportunity for hands-on ministry? Come join the Common Table by providing dinner, a listening ear and an open heart to those we serve. Have you scheduled a date to participate? We look forward to your involvement in the coming months. Don’t miss this blessing!
