As of today, over 1/3 of our mile has been completed. WOW!
Thanks to ALL who are working diligently to make this project a success – and a special thank you goes out to Belle Meade and Greene Acres Nursing Homes for allowing us to be the beneficiary of their friendly competition: These two groups raised over $3300 for the mission! We still have LOTS of containers out in the community. Your contributions can be returned to Mission Outreach or to the downtown branch of First National Bank anytime. We hope to be able to report a total by the end of March.

Contact Patty Willoughby at patty.willoughby@ladarling or 476.6059, or Cathy Hughes at the mission.

Interagency Council Meets next Thursday, March 19th
Do you have to deal with high drama people? Those who always need your attention…or your money? Do you know people who can’t seem to follow the rules and appear to only think of themselves? Then this class is for you! Join us at the mission from 12:00 to 1:00 for lunch and an excellent program on personality disorders by Ms. Ann Anderson, LMSW, from Mid-South Health Systems. Because seating is limited, we ask that you RSVP. For additional information contact Jamie Collins at jamiecollins@missionoutreachnea.com
Needs List
We thank God for our friends who have provided much needed items for our recently acquired property to permanently house up to four handicapped men. We are still in need of some furnishings for this home with. If you have items that you would like to donate, please call Jamie at the mission. Needed items are:
- Two twin beds
- Three chests of drawers
Prayer Requests
- As many of you know, we were approved to move into Phase II of our planning process to develop a new facility. One of our first activities is to identify land suitable for building. The primary challenge is to find land in our service area but not in the flood plane. The foundation we are working with has the potential to build and furnish our new facility, however, land funds are not provided. We are looking for approximately 10 to 20 acres and ask you to join us in prayer that this land need will be met.
Employment Opportunity
- Residential Manager
- Degree in nursing or social work preferred.
- Responsible for case management and implementing program development to lead residents to self-sufficiency.
Please contact Jamie Collins at 870.236.8080 or jamiecollins@missionoutreachnea.com for more information.
