Our effort to raise One Mile of Quarters is well underway!

M&M Mini containers have been distributed all over our community and are being filled with quarters.

These can be returned to Mission Outreach or to the downtown branch of First National Bank.

Thanks to all those who have worked hard to make this project a success.

We could not fulfill our mission without the support of so many friends in this community!

Celebrity Waiter with a Mission

Celebrity Waiter will be held on Saturday, April 4th with Mayor Mike Gaskill serving as emcee. Below is the list of our fabulous Celebrity Waiters for this inaugural event. We are waiting on confirmation of five others – and there’s still room for a few more! Do you know a local “celebrity” who would be willing to have fun with friends while raising money for Mission Outreach? Interesting in knowing more? Contact Patty Willoughby at patty.willoughby@ladarling or 476.6059, or Cathy Hughes at the mission.

Interagency Council Meets next Thursday, March 19th

Do you have to deal with high drama people? Those who always need your attention…or your money? Do you know people who can’t seem to follow the rules and appear to only think of themselves? Then this class is for you! Join us at the mission from 12:00 to 1:00 for lunch and an excellent program on personality disorders by Ms. Ann Anderson, LMSW, from Mid-South Health Systems. Because seating is limited, we ask that you RSVP. For additional information contact Jamie Collins at jamiecollins@missionoutreachnea.com

Prayer Requests

  • As many of you know, we were approved to move into Phase II of our planning process to develop a new facility. One of our first activities is to identify land suitable for building. The primary challenge is to find land in our service area but not in the flood plane. The foundation we are working with has the potential to build and furnish our new facility, however, land funds are not provided. We are looking for approximately 10 to 20 acres and ask you to join us in prayer that this land need will be met.

 Employment Opportunity

  • Residential Manager
    • Degree in nursing or social work preferred.
    • Responsible for case management and implementing program development to lead residents to self-sufficiency.

Please contact Jamie Collins at 870.236.8080 or jamiecollins@missionoutreachnea.com for more information.

Thank you again for your support of Mission Outreach!
