It's going to be a BOY!
Mission Outreach is frequently a safe haven for battered women. When Scott Sndyer, detective with the Paragould Police Department, emailed photos documenting the abuse of a young expectant mother we were housing, he had this to say... “I assure you the photos do not due any justice to the true severity of her injuries! Her entire head was a blue hue that does not show well in the photos...
That was several months ago....October to be exact. To date, there is still visible evidence of her nightmare, so finding a job was nearly out of the question, not to mention her emotional state. In about three weeks, she is due to delivery a new little bundle of joy and she has nearly nothing for the baby boy. Does any one have some used baby clothes or furniture you could donate to this young lady? She has managed to collect a few clothing through donations that have come through; however she has nothing for the first few months. Your help will be greatly appreciated.
~~~~~~~~ WOW! WOW! WOW! For nearly a century, the Boy Scouts of America has helped build the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. They believe and know that helping youth is a key to building a more conscientious, responsible and productive society.
Our local Boy Scout troops recently conducted a food drive….and WOW, what a success 2,708 items! . Troops…your delivery was so timely and so needed. Participants…thanks for not only helping to shape a young persons life, but providing food for a young person that may not have any. YOU made the difference.
THANKS! THANKS! THANKS
Thanks to the ladies at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Jonesboro ! our residents had a wonderful Valentine Treat. The food was scrumptious and the fellowship divine. These ladies prepared and served spaghetti, green beans, garlic bread, red velvet cake and lemon cake. Yum! Yum!
