You came back and what fun, what fun!
Thanks once again to Jonathan Blake and friends of Greater Vision Church
for serving food, fun and fellowship for the Common Table.
Randy Guthrie, President of LA Darling,
led the way with his Executive Staff
to be a part of the Common Table.
A total of seven sacrificed their lunch hour Monday
to serve food to the hungry and homeless in our area.
"There are two kinds of gratitude:
The sudden kind we feel for what we receive, and the larger kind we feel for what we give."
--- Edward Arlington Robinson
Mary Ellen Sneed and her mother celebrated her 90th birthday this past Saturday.
In lieu of gifts, Mary Ellen asked people to bring
non-perishable food items to donate to feed the homeless.
Thanks Mary Ellen for sharing with the less fortunate!
Thanks. . .Bancorp South Employees
For collecting a huge box of socks for our children, women and men!
Looking for an opportunity for hands-on ministry? Come join the Common Table by providing dinner, a listening ear and an open heart to those we serve. Whether providing a meal or just offering support, you can be the hands and feet of Christ to individuals in need. Choose a day….choose a meal; lunch is served at 12:00 noon, dinner is served at 5:00 p.m. Everyday.

On February 7th, Super Bowl Sunday, our local churches, youth groups, schools and service organizations are invited to be part of Souper Bowl of Caring. This national movement was begun in 1988 by a simple prayer spoken by a pastor: "Lord, as we enjoy the Super Bowl football game, help us be mindful of those who are without a bowl of soup to eat."
Visit www.souperbowl.org to see many of the resources available to mobilize and inspire our youth to fight hunger and poverty in our local community. There are easy ways to be involved! Contact Jamie at 236.8080 or jamiecollins@missionoutreachnea.com to discuss ways you and your group can participate.
