THANKS!          THANKS!        THANKS!

Thank you Jonathan Blake and friends of Greater Vision Church

for being a part of the Common Table.

Fifty-five individuals flowed in that night seeking a hot meal.

The pizza was an unexpected treat and the message was well received.

Oh. . .and what's that?  I hear your coming back again!

OUTSTANDING!

"When you give to others, you speak a silent but audible thank you.

Appreciation for others and ourselves is life and spirit for each and every one of us."

Thank You Kenny Peg and friends at First Baptist Church for the donation of meat!

Our staff had just received notice that this month's USDA Commodity provisions

would not include any meat when Kenny Peg phoned sharing

they were cleaning out some freezers at his church at First Baptist.

While we will not be able to use it in our food pantry, it will serve up great in our Soup Kitchen.

What an on-time God we have!  Thanks Kenny and friends for your obedience to follow Him.

"How wonderful that no one would wait a single moment to improve the world."                                                                                                                --- Anne Frank

On January 31st, Super Bowl Sunday, our local churches, youth groups, schools and service organizations are invited to be part of Souper Bowl of Caring. This national movement was begun in 1988 by a simple prayer spoken by a pastor: "Lord, as we enjoy the Super Bowl football game, help us be mindful of those who are without a bowl of soup to eat."

Visit www.souperbowl.org  to see many of the resources available to mobilize and inspire our youth to fight hunger and poverty in our local community. There are easy ways to be involved! Contact Jamie at 236.8080 or jamiecollins@missionoutreachnea.com to discuss ways you and your group can participate.
